Project Overview
A major project on the Didessa River, the
Arjo-Dedessa Dam is designed to support one of Ethiopia's largest irrigation
schemes, with a potential to serve over 80,000 hectares in the Oromia region.
Kistet’s Scope of Work
Kistet Engineering, in collaboration with GKM Consultants, was responsible for the expert installation and integration of the dam's monitoring instrumentation. The instruments, purchased by the main contractor OCC, have been installed on the main dam structure. Kistet is also performing installations of settlement system for Arjo Saddle Dam.
Instrumentation Installation & Integration- On-site
installation of all geotechnical and structural monitoring sensors.
- Complete
integration of the sensor network into a central data acquisition system.

System Verification, Testing and Commssioning
- Conducting
detailed channel mapping for the data acquisition system configuration.
Carrying out final acceptance testing to ensure the entire monitoring system functions according to project specifications.
